About the Role

We are seeking a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team at Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich. As a key member of our household team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the home.

Our beautiful 115-bedroom Avocet Court Care Home is surrounded by stunning gardens and offers a warm and welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that cleaning duties are carried out to the highest standard, in accordance with our cleaning schedule and in line with our infection control policies.
  • Engage with residents in conversation and participate in activities that promote their dignity and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality care and support to our residents.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on providing a warm and welcoming environment for residents and their families.
