Mental Health Specialist

As a skilled Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients with acute mental health needs at Lakeside View. This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, where extensive multidisciplinary support is offered to both patients and colleagues.
You will be working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, including Ward Managers, Charge Nurses, Doctors, Support Workers, Therapists, Activity Coordinators, and the Senior Management Team. As a Nurse at Lakeside View, you will be responsible for caring for patients who are admitted for assessment and treatment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- a valid NMC registration as an RMN/RNLD
- evidence of post-registration continuing professional development
- a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality
- excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices
- knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice

- day shifts are supported by Ward Managers and Charge Nurses, while night shifts are supported by Night Managers
- there is a manager-on-call system, ensuring that you have access to senior support out-of-hours
- you will work alongside a Junior Doctor, Speciality Doctors, and Consultant Psychiatrists, with an on-call Consultant Psychiatrist available for additional support
The estimated salary for this role is £39,000-£44,000 per annum, based on experience and location. This competitive salary reflects the importance of this position in providing high-quality care to our patients.
