About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our Asset Management and Sustainability team at Southway Housing Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a facilities management service to ensure our offices, community buildings, and residential properties are secure, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake regular building inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair issues
  • Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and water hygiene testing to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime
  • Work closely with building compliance, health and safety, and housing management colleagues to ensure a seamless service delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, visitors, and colleagues to ensure a positive and welcoming environment

Requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and punctual with a strong attention to detail
