Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Magellan Aerospace Limited. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for machining aircraft components from generated engineering drawings to prescribed customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and CNC grinding machines to produce high-quality components.
  • Set up and run cylindrical grinding machines to achieve precise tolerances.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and colleagues to ensure smooth production.
  • Perform component changeovers, de-burring, and cleaning tasks as required.
  • Resolve machining problems with minimal supervision and escalate issues to senior staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cylindrical grinding, both manual and CNC.
  • Recognized engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of controls, health and safety, and aerospace manufacturing principles.
