Job Summary

Magellan Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for interpreting customer specifications and engineering drawings to engineer components using NC programming and verification techniques. You will also drive down over capacity on machines to meet the company's continuous improvement targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings to engineer components using NC programming and verification techniques.
  • Drive down over capacity on machines to meet the company's continuous improvement targets.
  • Work with the shop floor to improve existing methods and machining techniques using the latest tooling.
  • Optimize existing processes to reduce over capacity on machines and resolve bottlenecks in manufacture.
  • Support and contribute to the continuous improvement programme and lean manufacturing.

Requirements
  • Experienced machinist with working knowledge of hard metal and soft metal machining techniques.
  • Advanced MasterCam and Vericut simulation software essential.
  • Experience of Catia V5 Programming and other CAD/CAM software beneficial.
  • PC skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Project management.
