Job Title: CNC Machinist

Magellan Aerospace Limited is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Blackpool, UK.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced CNC Machinist to work on the machining of aircraft components from generated engineering models to prescribed customer specification, using aluminum or titanium metal as required, utilising 3, 4 and 5 axis machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain 3, 4 and 5 axis machine tools to produce high-precision components.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to achieve precise tolerances and surface finishes.
  • Inspect and test components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve machining problems and improve process efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and productivity.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in CNC machining, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of controls, health and safety procedures, and quality management systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a recognized engineering apprenticeship or degree in mechanical engineering.
