Job Title: Service Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor to join our team at Aberdeen City Council. As a Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the provision of high-quality person-centred care and support to service users in a range of accommodation settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in the provision of person-centred care and support to service users
- Contribute to the organisation and development of the team and service to promote good outcomes for service users and their carers
- Assess, plan, and review, and maintain and develop clear and accurate records, including risk assessments and support plans
- Communicate effectively and work in partnership with service users, staff, carers, families, and internal/external professionals to achieve improved outcomes for service users
- Provide leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to other members of staff
- Provide personal care to a range of people with support needs
- Work proactively and with limited direct supervision, while recognising when matters need to be referred to a more senior manager
- Meet deadlines and work accurately with detailed information, specifically around the management and administration of service users' medication
- Basic IT skills, including the use of smartphones and iPads/Microsoft Word
- Ability to move and handle both people and objects in a safe manner
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of SVQ 3 qualification
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Record (PVG) or willingness to become a scheme member
- Registered or undertaking registration with the SSSC where applicable
- PDA in supervision or willingness to work towards
Working Arrangements:
This is a permanent, full-time position, working night shifts, including alternate weekend shifts. A 33% enhancement rate applies for working after 20:00, and a 40% enhancement rate applies for working Saturdays and Sundays.
