Job Title: Service Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor to join our team at Aberdeen City Council. As a Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the provision of high-quality person-centred care and support to service users in a range of accommodation settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and review the care and support needs of service users, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, staff, carers, families, and internal/external professionals to achieve improved outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to other members of staff, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Work proactively and with limited direct supervision, recognizing when matters need to be referred to a more senior manager.
  • Manage and administer service users' medication accurately and efficiently.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high standards of work.
  • Develop and maintain basic IT skills, including the use of smartphones and iPads/Microsoft Word.
  • Move and handle people and objects safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of SVQ 3 qualification.
  • Be registered or willing to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
  • Have a PDA in supervision or be willing to work towards it.
