Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Our client school, located in the Felixstowe area of Suffolk, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will have experience of supporting pupils with Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (EBD) and/or Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Experience of supporting pupils with ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Autism (ASD), Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD/EBD), Challenging Behaviour, Global Development Delay (GDD), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individual pupils and small groups of pupils
  • Be a positive role model and offer encouragement and promote confidence
  • Assist with the planning of learning activities
  • Help with classroom preparation

  • Have a passion for improving the educational and life chances of children and young people
