Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Year 2/3

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a "Good" Ofsted rated Primary School in the Suffolk area. This is a long-term supply position covering Year 2/3, starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities, promoting a love of learning in students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth, and helping them develop essential skills for the future.
  • Contribute to classroom management, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages students to thrive.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers, helping to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of the Year 2/3 curriculum and educational standards.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK-based educational setting, with a strong track record of supporting student learning.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Verifiable references from previous employers or placements, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
