We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer III to join our Payments Technology team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our agile team, you will design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions with a focus on innovation and problem-solving.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Analyze large, diverse data sets to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Enhance team culture by promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding with Java.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
