Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank PLC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and evolving the bank's technology architecture through relevant solutions, strategies, and execution plans aligned to and prioritized by business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient cloud-based systems using AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement emerging technologies and trends.
  • Develop and maintain containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD and IAC tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, and Bicep.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in software development, cloud computing, and DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and CI/CD tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to create assessment approaches to identify relevant emerging technologies.
  • Measuring the value of technology solutions and identifying areas for improvement.
