The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, assisting our chefs with food preparation, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment to the highest standards.
- Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
- Assist with food preparation, including peeling and chopping vegetables, and receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with our kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, including setting up and closing down the kitchen.
- Report any maintenance or health and safety issues to the relevant person.

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
