About the Role
The Fostering Panel Advisor and Review Chair will play a crucial role in the continued growth and development of Coventry City Council's Fostering Service. This position requires a qualified social worker with experience of working with foster carers, preferably as a fostering panel member. The successful candidate will provide advice to the fostering panel and take on responsibility for the oversight of foster carer reviews following team manager quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice to the fostering panel on matters related to foster carer reviews and quality assurance.
- Take on responsibility for the oversight of foster carer reviews, ensuring that they meet the required standards and regulations.
- Work collaboratively and relationally with the independent panel chair, vice chairs, panel members, and those attending the panel.
- Ensure that the Fostering Service continues to grow and develop, providing the best possible care for looked-after children.
Requirements
- Qualified social worker with experience of working with foster carers.
- Preferably with experience as a fostering panel member.
- Clear understanding of the fostering regulations and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively and relationally with others.
