SEN Teaching Assistant Role in Richmond

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Richmond. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a disabled student who requires physical, medical, and personal care while at school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the student with SEN, including physical, medical, and personal care
  • Work collaboratively with the student's teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with the student, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless support
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a 1:1 capacity
  • Ability to provide physical, medical, and personal care as required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
