Job Description

A leading Not-for-Profit organization is seeking an experienced Head of IT Hybrid to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Birmingham and will work in a hybrid environment. The base salary for this role is £62,000, and the organization offers 25 days of annual leave.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Collaborate with the Heads of and the Technology team to scope, plan, monitor, and deliver projects successfully, within budget and on time.
  2. Strategic Alignment: Develop effective working relationships with senior managers across the group to translate strategic priorities into practical projects and programmes that they can deliver.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and inspire the Technology team, a geographically diverse team of Engineers and Analysts, to collaborate effectively to deliver on their personal targets and objectives, plans, and budgets.
  4. Technical Platforms: Own the technical platforms and architecture for the technology estate, with a particular focus on the application and user experience.
  5. Technical Roadmaps: Establish and deliver technical roadmaps for all platforms.
  6. Business Delivery: Manage technical delivery for business-driven projects, from solution design to service transition.
Requirements
  1. Supplier Management: Experience of managing suppliers in a multi-supplier environment.
  2. Cyber Security: Knowledge of Cyber Security principles.
  3. Technology Delivery: Broad knowledge of end-to-end technology delivery from concept to in service.
  4. Project Management: Project and Programme Management skills, capable of working on multiple projects and initiatives at the same time.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work with teams of varying technical abilities.
  6. Technology Solutions: Some knowledge of technology solutions including Applications, Platforms, Cyber Security, Cloud, and Integration.
  7. Supplier Delivery: Experience of delivering technology solutions through suppliers, including defining requirements, evaluating and selecting solutions, and managing delivery and acceptance from a technical perspective.
  8. IT Architecture: Knowledge of IT architecture, including developing architecture models using TOGAF or equivalent methodology.
  9. Project Management Tools: Knowledge of Project and Programme Management tools and techniques, for example Agile (all variants) or PRINCE2.
