Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Needs school in Slough. As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing individualized support to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the class teacher, devise and plan appropriate learning activities for each individual child to ensure they are able to get the most out of their learning
  • Support and report on Pupil's educational progress
  • Cover the class teacher during their PPA time
  • Take small groups of children to enhance learning

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification and experience working with children with special needs
  • Ability to work calmly and sensitively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
