Behaviour Mentor Trainee Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor Trainee at Engage Partners. As a Behaviour Mentor Trainee, you will play a vital role in supporting our local SEND Schools in Crawley by providing guidance and support to children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and some Complex Needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of behaviour management and be able to work effectively with students who exhibit challenging behaviours. Previous experience working with students with SEMH, particularly challenging behaviours and Trauma & Attachment, is highly desirable. However, we are committed to providing training and support to ensure our Behaviour Mentor Trainees have the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role.

We welcome applications from candidates with a range of experience, including those from a youth support, support worker, or care worker background. Personal SEND experience is also highly valued. If you are passionate about working with vulnerable children and young people, and are eager to learn and develop your skills, we encourage you to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who want to pursue a career in teaching or SEND Education. In particular, Psychology Graduates are encouraged to apply, as we have a range of roles that will be well suited to their background.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support a range of vulnerable children from Reception to KS4
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support package for students
  • Contribute to the development of individualised behaviour plans and support strategies
