Behaviour Mentor Trainee Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor Trainee at Engage Partners. As a Behaviour Mentor Trainee, you will play a vital role in supporting our local SEND Schools in Crawley by helping children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and some Complex Needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of behaviour management and be able to effectively support students with challenging behaviours and Trauma & Attachment. Previous experience working with students with SEMH is beneficial, but not essential. We provide comprehensive training to all applicants, so the ideal candidate should be eager to learn and resilient.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals from a youth support, support worker, or care worker background, or those with personal SEND experience. We also encourage graduates who want to move into a career in teaching or SEND Education, particularly those with a background in Psychology.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support a range of vulnerable children from Reception to KS4
  • Effectively calm children down and de-escalate challenging situations
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Provide individualised support to students with SEMH and Complex Needs
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment
