Workshop Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Financial Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and contributing to the smooth operation of the department.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in finance and accounting administration within a fast-paced office environment. You should be confident in your ability to learn internal computer systems and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a multi-currency purchase ledger for two companies
  • Receive and respond to all telephone inquiries, including follow-up
  • Match purchase orders
  • Process invoices and credits in multiple currencies
  • Process payment runs
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and company credit cards
  • Process expenses, commissions, and pensions
  • Manage petty cash
  • Provide first-line payroll administration, including checking overtime
  • Post bank payments
  • Maintain records, files, and other documentation
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support the Finance team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in finance and accounts administration
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner
  • Able to use initiative and work well under pressure

Working Hours:

Some flexibility can be offered for reduced hours per week, with a requirement to cover 5 days of the week.

Salary:

The salary for this role is £30,000 - £32,000, depending on experience. Salary will be pro rata for reduced hours.
