Curtis Recruitment Limited seeks an exceptional Personal Tax Manager to join their dynamic office environment. With a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, this role offers opportunities for growth and professional development.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, including individuals, sole traders, and trusts. This involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, calculating tax liabilities, and identifying planning opportunities.

In addition to ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance, the Personal Tax Manager will handle client queries and collaborate with senior managers to develop innovative tax planning strategies.

This role requires a qualified CTA or ATT, or an exceptional qualified by experience candidate with extensive tax experience, excellent communication and client management skills, solid IT skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, including individuals, sole traders, and trusts
  • Prepare and review tax returns, calculate tax liabilities, and identify planning opportunities
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance, handle client queries, and correspond with HMRC
  • Collaborate with senior managers, develop innovative tax planning strategies, and stay informed about tax legislation

Requirements:
  • Preferably qualified CTA or ATT, although candidates with other accounting qualifications and exceptional qualified by experience candidate will be considered
  • Extensive tax experience gained within a practice environment with strong knowledge of personal tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Solid IT skills; good working knowledge of accounting and tax software
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Be passionate about tax, client service, and making a positive impact
