About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at Care & Custody - A Mitie Company. As a key member of our custody suite team, you will provide high-quality healthcare to detainees, working closely with police officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services to detainees, including assessments, treatments, and referrals as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with police officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of detainees.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with detainees, police officers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience working in a patient-facing role within a relevant field, such as general practice, A&E, emergency medicine, or prison healthcare.
  • Valid driving license and ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to pass police vetting and maintain confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive information.
