Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Lead Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering complex avionics systems projects from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deliver avionics systems projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to elicit requirements and develop project plans.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of system architectures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems that meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Lead Engineer or equivalent role in the defence or aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, including hardware, software, and system integration.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) is desirable.
