Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Lead Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering complex avionics systems projects from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading complex engineering projects, with a strong track record of delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical knowledge of avionics systems, including hardware, software, and systems engineering.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement changes.
  • Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) is desirable.
