We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care, and possess a comprehensive knowledge of support/intervention programmes for SEND. You will be patient, nurturing, and kind, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of our pupils.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN/SEMH
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement support plans
  • Assist with the delivery of intervention programmes for SEND
  • Support pupils with their learning and development
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care
  • Comprehensive knowledge of support/intervention programmes for SEND
  • Patience, nurturing, and kind approach
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
