Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be working with a pupil who has complex behavioural needs and requires a high level of support.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role that requires a candidate with experience in SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of support/intervention programmes for SEND and be able to demonstrate patience, a nurturing and kind mindset, flexibility, and a compassionate and proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a pupil with complex behavioural needs in a 1:1 setting
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans to meet the pupil's needs
  • Work collaboratively with the pupil's teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the pupil
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to the pupil to help them manage their behaviour
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the pupil's behaviour management plan
