Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients undergoing surgery.
About the Role: The Anaesthetic Directorate provides services to over 30 theatres across the health board, including elective and emergency surgery, trauma, and obstetrics. You will be working closely with a team of experienced anaesthetists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality anaesthetic services to patients undergoing surgery
- Work closely with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operating theatre sessions
- Participate in the anaesthetics on-call rota at the Grange University Hospital
- Contribute to the development and implementation of anaesthetic services and policies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and experience
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered medical practitioner with a license to practice and a specialist registration with the GMC. You will also need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
