Consultant Anaesthetist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients across our health board.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing anaesthetic services to patients in our theatres, as well as participating in the anaesthetics on-call rota at the Grange University Hospital. They will also be expected to undertake 7 DCCs and 3 SPA sessions per week, and contribute to the development of our anaesthetic department.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC, as well as being on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or having a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview. You will also need to undergo an enhanced check with barred list information, including adults and children's barred list checks.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, with experience in anaesthetics and a passion for teaching and research. They will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
