Forensic Psychology Service Lead

Job Overview
To be part of a multidisciplinary team providing a forensic psychology service, including assessment, intervention, and evaluations focused on rehabilitation in the community. To offer input as required to other services within the forensic and specialist learning disabilities within the Service Line.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To be responsible for the systematic provision of specialist forensic psychology services to adults with learning disabilities and complex, severe, and enduring mental health difficulties who may display challenging behavior or have offending histories.
2. To undertake high-quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychology interventions in these services, taking substantial professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgment in their professional practice.
3. To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities (including training others) relevant to the service area.
4. To have regular responsibility for providing supervision to trainee and assistant psychologists in this specialism.
