About the Role

The Trusts and Foundations Manager will play a pivotal role in the Marketing & Development department of a renowned not-for-profit university. This strategic position requires a keen ability to build relationships and secure funding from various trusts and foundations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and cultivate strong relationships with trusts, foundations, and other potential funding sources.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Charitable Trusts and Foundations Plan to secure significant funding.
  • Prepare compelling funding applications and proposals, showcasing the university's projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and impact of funded projects, maintaining strong communication with funders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to identify funding needs and opportunities.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the not-for-profit and higher education sectors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to fundraising and data protection.
Requirements
  • A strong academic background in marketing, business, or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, specifically in securing funding from trusts and foundations.
  • Excellent written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex projects and translate them in terms that a non-specialist can understand.
  • Knowledge of the not-for-profit and higher education sectors.
  • An understanding of data protection and fundraising regulations.
