Laboratory Operations Technician

ANGLE plc is a world-leading liquid biopsy company commercializing a patent-protected platform technology that captures rare circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from blood in a minimally invasive way for downstream analysis.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Operations Technician to join our team in Guildford. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory, providing support to the scientific team, and working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure quality and regulatory compliance of work undertaken
- Perform stock checks of materials to ensure the laboratory has everything it needs to carry out its day-to-day operations
- Contribute to the running of the laboratory facility, including placing orders and processing goods to ensure all required stock is maintained at the correct levels
- Support laboratory staff in performing maintenance on Parsortix instruments following correct documentation
- Support laboratory staff by picking up, cleaning, washing, and distributing glassware
- Support cleaning of the laboratory as required
- Ensure all equipment and consumables are labelled correctly in accordance with the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support in temperature monitoring of ANGLE laboratories
- Support all aspects of Laboratory Management in a variety of tasks both in and out of the lab as and when required by the line manager
- Handle hazardous materials, reagents, and chemicals in a safe manner in accordance with laboratory policy and procedures
- Work in accordance with laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards and cleanliness in the laboratory area
- Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required
- An eye for detail and commitment to high-quality data
- A flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job
