Laboratory Operations Technician

ANGLE plc is a world-leading liquid biopsy company commercialising a patent-protected platform technology that can capture rare circulating tumour cells (CTCs) from blood, in a minimally invasive way, for downstream analysis.

The Parsortix system is FDA cleared for its intended use in metastatic breast cancer and is currently the first and only FDA cleared medical device to harvest intact circulating cancer cells from blood.

As a Laboratory Operations Technician, you will contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory, providing support to the scientific team, while working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing stock checks of materials to ensure the laboratory has everything it needs to carry out its day-to-day operations
  • Contributing to the running of the laboratory facility, including placing orders and processing goods to ensure all required stock is maintained at the correct levels
  • Supporting laboratory staff by picking-up, cleaning, washing, and distributing glassware
  • Supporting cleaning of the laboratory as required
  • Ensuring all equipment and consumables are labelled correctly in accordance with the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Supporting in temperature monitoring of ANGLE laboratories
  • Supporting all aspects of Laboratory Management in a variety of tasks both in and out of the lab as and when required by line manager
