We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our Direct SME team to identify, convert, manage, and develop new business opportunities within LeasePlan. The ideal candidate will have a proven telesales track record in business-to-business sales, ideally within the car industry or contract hire sector.

This role requires individuals to communicate, negotiate, and present at a senior level with an ability to empathise with the target audience using telephone skills. The successful candidate will contribute to the entire new business process, suggesting innovative and reasoned ideas to maximise new customer sign-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the overall success of the LeasePlan team by both personal performance and team spirit.
  2. Be involved with any ad-hoc projects as may be required within LeasePlan.
  3. Identify and evaluate risks within the department/function and take appropriate measures to manage these.
  4. Ensure sufficient business controls are in place to minimise exposure to risk.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  1. Fluent in business English language - written and verbal.
  2. Good PC and technical skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.
  3. Customer-driven with a proven ability to build long-term relationships and provide creative and innovative solutions to a wide variety of customers.
  4. High level of commercial and financial awareness with an ability to recognise opportunities for profitable business.
