Director of Infrastructure and Estates

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the management of its physical infrastructure across various locations.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the Trust's properties are well-maintained, safe, and fit for purpose.
- Oversee property occupancy, maintenance, and repairs, as well as manage capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve the Trust's goals.
- Develop and implement the MY Health Estate Strategy and supporting development control plans.
- Produce and recommend action to continuously improve estate management performance.
- Lead the Estate Management Services team to ensure a continuous performance improvement culture is embedded across all Trust sites.
- Set and check estate maintenance and professional works standards across the Trust property portfolio.
- Advise the Trust's Directors and Senior Managers on all aspects of Estate Management.

Person Specification- Essential:
- Successful track record at Director of Senior Manager level within a large estates function.
- Successful track record in change management.
- Experience of working collaboratively with clinicians, senior managers, and other stakeholders in planning and development.
- Experience of successfully developing and implementing strategic plans.
- Desirable:
- Director level experience in an acute trust.
- Commercial sector experience.
- Essential:
- Understanding of the capital funding regime.
- Knowledge of the NHS Plan.
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of current issues facing the NHS.
- Essential:
- Member of a relevant professional institution.
- A masters degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Chartered or incorporated status.
