We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Infrastructure: Estate to join our leadership team. As a key member of our estate management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our building and engineering infrastructure across various locations.
Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing estate management strategies, overseeing property occupancy, maintenance, and repairs, and managing building and engineering capital projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the private finance initiative contract between the NHS and private sector companies is properly managed and that contract obligations are met.
In addition, you will support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our estate and promote the efficient use of energy and resources. You will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that our properties are designed and equipped to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement estate management strategies to ensure the effective management of our building and engineering infrastructure.
- Oversee property occupancy, maintenance, and repairs to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and safe.
- Manage building and engineering capital projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Ensure that the private finance initiative contract between the NHS and private sector companies is properly managed and that contract obligations are met.
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our estate and promote the efficient use of energy and resources.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that our properties are designed and equipped to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Chartered or Incorporated status
- Member of a relevant professional institution
- Institute of Project Management
- Successful track record at Director or Senior Manager level within a large Estates function.
- Successful track record in change management.
- Experience of working collaboratively with clinicians, managers, and other stakeholders in planning and development.
- People management, motivation, and leadership skills.
- Advanced financial and commercial acumen.
