Job Title: Account Receivables Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounts receivable team to ensure prompt and effective billing and credit control functions.
  • Collaborate with the financial leadership to achieve the requirements of the finance department.
  • Take ownership of AR processes and implement improvements in line with business needs and Stark corporate policies.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial accounts and forecasts to agreed timescales.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the operations and activities of the Accounts Receivable and Billing function.
  • Gain a deep understanding of current billing processes and suggest improvements.
  • Oversee and monitor team performance through quality control checks.
  • Analyze KPIs and identify trends to measure overall financial performance.
  • Plan and execute external audit activities to meet deadlines.
  • Optimize cash collection by tracking past due accounts and recommending next steps.
  • Own Accounts Receivable budget and forecast, including Non-Cash Working Capital reporting.
  • Day-to-day management, coaching, and motivation of the team.
  • Create and implement employee development plans.
  • Ensure training needs of the team are identified and communicated.
  • Implement standardized Stark AR processes at new locations.
  • Resolve customer queries and implement improvements.
  • Participate in regular training and learning activities to maintain and develop skills.
Requirements:
  • Good interpersonal and rapport-building abilities.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • University degree in Finance or Accounting or related qualifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software applications (ERP), databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Confident and accurate use of departmental computer systems/databases.
