About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Ecotricity, the UK's first true green energy provider. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects, ensuring the quality of our data, and contributing to our mission of making Britain greener.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support our renewable energy solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve data efficiency, reduce technical debt, and enhance our data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to support business stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our data solutions remain cutting-edge.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Analyst with a strong background in data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization.
  • Expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, and Python.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as BitBucket or GitHub.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
