As a technical expert, you will design, scope, develop, and deliver data solutions to meet stakeholder requests while identifying opportunities to enhance data insight.

About You

You will be an experienced data analyst with a proven track record in BI, data manipulation, and problem-solving. You'll have experience in building relationships and mentoring junior team members. The role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey key information in various formats, providing delivery timescales and using effective stakeholder management skills to communicate these.

Knowledge of the Energy industry is beneficial but not essential.

Key Competencies

What will you bring...

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis (MS-SQL/Databricks - T-SQL, View and table design, Experience of ETL)
  • Strong technical analytical skills as a Data Analyst
  • Managing and manipulating data experience
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation of decisions of all sizes
  • Strong presentation skills for engaging senior stakeholders
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations

Essential:

  • Writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation across multiple tables / data sources.
  • Selected candidates will undergo a practical SQL test to assess proficiency. At a minimum applicants will require a comprehensive understanding of query Joins and its application within SQL queries.
  • A resilient 'can do' attitude. Demonstrating persistence to work through complex problems independently.
  • The role is Hybrid and requires the successful candidate to work in the Stroud (UK) office 3 days per week with the remaining days working from home.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in delivery to requirements.
