Job Title: International Development Auditor

We are seeking an experienced International Development Auditor to join our team at AfID. As an International Development Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits of grants and development projects funded by international donor institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct expenditure audits of grants and development projects
  • Review internal controls and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with local NGOs and government partners to ensure compliance with donor regulations
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior team members
Requirements:
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience in grant funding, reporting, or audit
  • Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse clients and beneficiaries
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Team worker with resilience and adaptability
Personal Attributes:
  • At least two-three years of audit experience
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong planning, organisational, and time management skills
  • Sound technical and analytical skills, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Passionate about international travel and development, willing to work in international locations for 30% plus of the time

Candidates for permanent London-based roles must have the right to work in the UK.
