Feline Welfare Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Rehoming and Welfare Assistant to join our Cat Centre team in North Manchester. This is a 28-hour per week position that involves working a 7-day rota. The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for cats, including feeding, cleaning, and providing medical treatment as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Clean cat pens, including litter trays, in various sections of the centre
- Feed and care for cats requiring additional medical or behavioural treatment
- Present a professional image to customers and visitors
- Assist with veterinary runs and transport cats to different sites
- Support the Centre and Deputy Manager in day-to-day operations and employee supervision
- Provide support and guidance to volunteers on cat care duties
- Schedule and prepare rehoming information, viewings, and adoption of cats in care
Requirements:
- A full manual driving license is essential for transporting cats and working between two sites
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and customer service experience
- Experience in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating, and handling
- Ability to cope with distressing situations and maintain a positive attitude
- Team leadership or supervisory experience
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
