Contract Support Officer - Procurement & Contract Management

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Support Officer to join our Procurement & Contract Management Service. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of best practice for complex contractual arrangements for the Council's portfolio of Adult Social Care Contracts.
  • Ensure that the Adult Social Care Contracts achieve their contract delivery objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Regularly communicate and consult with a range of key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Ensure value for money is achieved through effective contract monitoring and take responsibility for any issues that arise in line with the escalation procedure as identified in the contract(s).

Requirements

  • Relevant experience of contract management practice, contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Experience of sustaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, ideally in a commercial setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret and present complex information to a range of audiences both verbally and in a written format.
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations and people.
  • Proven analytical capability and ability to work in a logical and organised manner.
  • Ability to work on own initiative both individually and in a team context.
