Job Title: Senior Contracts Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Officer to join our team in Bristol, UK. As a key member of our commercial team, you will provide strategic input into contract and bid activities, develop complex commercial proposals, and manage commercial risks to meet project commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic input into contract and bid activities in line with business and functional objectives
  • Develop complex commercial proposals and contracting mechanisms
  • Manage commercial risks to meet project commitments
  • Support the Supply Chain team in relation to contractual terms and conditions and legal issues
  • Manage the commercial elements of the contract change control process
  • Develop negotiation strategies and support negotiations to ensure strategic business objectives are met
Requirements:
  • 6+ years previous experience in a commercial role
  • Previous evaluation of commercial risks
  • In-depth knowledge of MoD contracting and procurement rules
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work with and deal with individuals at all levels of business both internally and externally
