About the Role

The Senior Contracts Officer will provide strategic input into contract and bid activities, developing complex commercial proposals and contracting mechanisms. You will work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and provide commercial guidance to project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial input into the cost estimating process and develop pricing and cash flow models
  • Sign off of bid/project prices and obtain corporate approvals
  • Identify and manage commercial risks to meet project commitments
  • Support the Supply Chain team in relation to contractual terms and conditions
  • Manage the commercial elements of the contract change control process
  • Analysis and drafting of contract requirements and terms and conditions
  • Develop negotiation strategies and support negotiations
  • Contract administration of allocated projects to maximize profitability

Requirements

  • 6+ years previous experience in a commercial role
  • Previous evaluation of commercial risks
  • In-depth knowledge of MoD contracting and procurement rules
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work with and deal with individuals at all levels of business
