Job Title: Pharmacist (Weekends Only)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacist (Weekends Only) at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the clinical pharmacy services team on weekends, ensuring the provision of safe and effective pharmaceutical care to patients. This will involve developing and implementing clinical pharmacy services, managing and evaluating the performance of the team, and contributing to the development of pharmacy services across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the clinical pharmacy services team on weekends, ensuring the provision of safe and effective pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services, including the development of policies, guidelines, and protocols.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of the team, including the development of performance metrics and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy services across the Trust, including the development of strategic plans and the implementation of service improvements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the provision of comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Pharmacist MRPharmS (1 year competency assessed and examined professional registration)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy Practice
  • Registered independent prescriber or willingness to complete
  • Expert clinical knowledge and skills relevant to area of practice
  • Demonstrate high organisational skills - identifying, planning, organising and developing systems to improve service delivery
  • Experience of supervising others, including for research and audit projects
  • Experience of protocol/guideline development
  • Ability to work well under pressure by prioritising and managing time effectively
  • Ability to identify and manage risks
  • Ability to implement and manage change
  • Ability to motivate self and others
