Job Summary
Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Receptionist/Telephonist to join our team. As a key member of our Sexual Health Services, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Main Responsibilities
Provide non-clinical advice and information to patients, booking appointments and dealing with queries in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners, using your excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Prepare patient files, accurate filing of results, and ensure relevant paperwork is available for healthcare professionals.
Use clinic computer systems to manage appointments, patient details, and registration.
Ensure adequate stocks of stationery and clinical equipment, ordering as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a smooth and efficient service, including outlying clinics.
Requirements
GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English Grade C or above.
Previous reception experience, with a strong background in general clerical duties, office systems, and customer-facing environments.
Computer literate to a high standard, with excellent interpersonal and social skills.
Able to work under pressure, remain calm, and demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality.
