Management Accountant

Office Angels is proud to support our client, a leading charity in Gateshead, in their search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while playing a crucial role in managing the organisation's financial resources.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the full management accounts for the charity, including income requests, invoicing, and debtor reviews.
- Complete monthly management accounts for the charity and its trading subsidiary, as well as quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage bank reconciliations and other bank/cash/credit card accounts, and perform additional financial tasks as required.
- Liaise with managers and colleagues to ensure accurate financial reporting, and produce project budgets, costing reports, variance analysis, and forecasts for the Trustee Board.
- Work with managers of other departments to review P&L and project cost reports, providing advice in line with department and company budgets.
- Proficiency in accounting processes, with experience in management accounts reporting, project cost reporting, and analysis.
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, AAT Level 4 are desirable, however not essential - the company is ultimately in need of an experienced individual, so will also consider those qualified by experience.
- Ideally, experience with Xero accounting software, and strong skills in Office 365 tools, including Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities, with a team-oriented work ethic.
- A competitive salary of £37,000 per annum, based on experience.
