Exciting Opportunity - Management Accountant

Office Angels is proud to support our client, a leading charity in Gateshead, in their search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while playing a crucial role in managing the organisation's financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full management accounts for the charity, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage income requests, invoicing, and debtor reviews, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Complete monthly management accounts for the charity and its trading subsidiary, providing insightful analysis and recommendations
  • Assist or complete quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage bank reconciliations and other bank/cash/credit card accounts, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Perform additional financial tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in accounting processes, with experience in management accounts reporting, project cost reporting, and analysis
  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, AAT Level 4 are desirable, however not essential - the company is ultimately in need of an experienced individual, so will also consider those qualified by experience
  • Ideally, experience with Xero accounting software
  • Strong skills in Office 365 tools, including Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities, with a team-oriented work ethic
  • Desirable: Payroll experience, experience in the charity or voluntary sector, and project work
