Senior Management Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reports, providing financial insights, and supporting the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present monthly Management Accounts and reports to stakeholders.
  • Complete designated month-end and year-end journal adjustments, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and post gift aid journals.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and support budget holders in managing their budgets.
  • Implement and manage a process for balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring completion within the required timescale.
  • Manage statutory/regulatory returns, ensuring they are completed and submitted on time.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in preparing Management Accounts and supporting audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with various stakeholders.
