Job Title: Hardware Systems Specialist

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Specialist to join our team at MDE Consultants Ltd in Bristol. As a Hardware Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the detailed design of electrical control systems, ensuring high-quality and compliant solutions for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical site surveys and design single-line diagrams for power, control, networking, and communications.
  • Produce electrical schematics, cable schedules, and control/drive panel general arrangements.
  • Create manufacturing, installation, and as-built documentation (as-tested, as-installed, and as-commissioned).
  • Maintain the Technical Construction File related to electrical design.
  • Perform calculations to support system design, including power sizing, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, and heat dissipation.
  • Provide support for manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Meet project milestones and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HND/Foundation Degree/Level 5 Apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems.
