Compass Associates Ltd is proud to be working with a leading provider of clinical pharmacy services, delivering expert solutions to GP federations, GP surgeries, and primary care networks across the country.

The Clinical Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of the clinical pharmacy services, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring compliance with all relevant governance frameworks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a national team of clinical pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring operational excellence and driving continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring that all clinical and non-clinical staff meet and exceed regulatory standards.
  • Lead, manage, and develop clinical staff, ensuring their performance and growth align with business targets.
  • Drive service development and innovation, continuously improving the quality and scope of services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory frameworks, conducting risk assessments and monitoring staff competencies.
  • Manage operational processes including rota management, staff cover, performance reviews, and service audits.
  • Analyse clinical/non-clinical data, creating reports and dashboards for senior leadership and board review.
  • Support business planning and service development to contribute to the company's long-term success.
Requirements:
  • Registered Pharmacist or Nurse Practitioner with experience in primary care.
  • Registered with the GPhC or NMC with good standing.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in clinical operations, preferably within a primary care setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Primary Care Network, Directed Enhanced Service, General Medical Services, and Alternative Provider Medical Services.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and team performance effectively.
